2-7 EXPAND
The EXPAND communication protocol is a NSK proprietary protocol that is used by different NSK nodes to
communicate with each other. Customers who have multiple NSK systems use and depend upon EXPAND for
their applications to run smoothly. OCC has predefined counters/modifiers that facilitate the monitoring and
recovery of the lines and paths defined under the EXPAND subsystem.
2-7-1 OBJECT CLASS: LINE

CPU ASSIGNED TO LINE
CPU ASSIGNED TO LINE allows the user to check on the
CPU to which the line is assigned. Value 1 is the CPU
number.

LINE NOT READY ERROR LINE NOT READY ERROR allows the user to check on the
value of the LINE NOT READY ERROR. This allows users to
check for any value they want, or just a value not equal to
zero.

state whether started or not. If it is NOT STARTED, then it
will be treated as a violation state.

CPU to which the Path is assigned.
Value1 is the CPU number.

whether started or not. If it is NOT STARTED it will be
treated a violation case.

STARTED allows the user to check on the Path state. If it is
