OVNM 5.3 - Operations Agent for NonStop Object Reference Guide
Threshold Policies 97
2-13 OSS
The Open System Services (OSS) environment provides a user and programming interface similar to that of the
UNIX operating system. The OSS environment combines the benefits of the UNIX operating system with the
features of the HP NonStop operating system.
2-13-1 OBJECT CLASS: DYNAMIC PROCESS
Policy
Description
Operators Allowed
CPU ASSIGNED TO
PROCESS
This threshold type allows the user to check on the
CPU assigned to the primary process.
• Equal to <value1>
• Not equal to <value1>
NUMBER OF INSTANCES This threshold type allows the user to check the
number of instances of a particular process.
•
Equal to <value1>
• Not equal to <value1>
• Less than <value1>
• Less than or equal to <value1>
• Greater than <value1>
• Greater than or equal to <value1>
• Greater than <value1> and less
than <value2>
• Less than <value1> or greater than
<value2>
PRIORITY OF PROCESS
This threshold type allows the user to check on the
priority assigned to the process to be monitored.
• Equal to <value1>

• Less than <value1>
• Less than or equal to <value1>

• Greater than <value1> and less
than <value2>
• Less than <value1> or greater than
<value2>
TIME EXECUTING This threshold type allows the user to check how
much time a process has been active. Format is
dd:hh:mm:ss for days, hours, minutes, seconds
