The different error messages and warnings displayed when adding a new OVNM Configuration related to the
Host tab page, their causes and the action to be taken are described in the following table.
Table 2-1 Adding NonStop Host Configuration

Possible Causes: This message box is displayed when the Node Name field in the Host tab page is left blank or has
an invalid value.
Action to be taken: Enter the NonStop Node Name in the Node Name field in the Host tab page. The Node Name
field has the following validations:
1 It should begin with “\” followed by an alphabet.
2 The maximum length of this field can be 8 characters.
3 It can contain only alphanumeric characters.

Possible Causes: This message box is displayed when the configuration name specified in the Configuration Name
field already exists.
Action to be taken: Enter a unique Configuration Name in the Configuration Name field in the Host tab page.

Possible Causes: This message box is displayed when the Product Key field in the Host tab page has an invalid
value.
Action to be taken: The Product Key field is optional. If it is left blank the Host Installation Client will generate an
Evaluation Key which will expire after 60 days. A permanent key can be acquired by contacting the appropriate
HP support service.

Possible Causes: This message box is displayed when the Host Address field in the Host tab page is left blank or
has an invalid value.
Action to be taken: Enter the Host IP address in the Host Address field in the Host tab page.
