Possible Causes: This message box is displayed when the User ID field in the Host tab page is left blank.
Action to be taken: Enter the Guardian User ID or alias that will be used to logon to the HP NonStop Server in the
User ID field in the Host tab page.

Possible Causes: This message box is displayed when the TCPIP Process field in the Host tab page is left blank or
has an invalid value.
Action to be taken: Enter the TCPIP process name for HP NonStop Host in the TCPIP Process field in the Host tab
page. The TCPIP Process field has the following validations:
1 It should begin with “$” followed by an alphabet.
2 The maximum length of this field can be 8 characters.
3 It can contain only alphanumeric characters.

Possible Causes: This message box is displayed when the Process Prefix field in the Host tab page is left blank or
has an invalid value.
Action to be taken: Enter a two character prefix for all Host component processes in the Process Prefix field. By
default this field has the value OV. The validations for the Process Prefix field are:
1 The maximum length of this field can be 2 characters.
2 It should begin with a character. It can be followed by another character or a positive integer from 0-9.

Possible Causes: This message box is displayed when the Work Subvolume field in the Host tab page is left blank
or has an invalid value.
Action to be taken: Enter the volume and subvolume to stage the necessary files for installation in the Work
Subvolume field. By default this field has the value $SYSTEM.ZOVNM. The validations for the Work Subvolume
field are:
1 It should begin with “$” followed by an alphabet.
2 The format of this field is $<Volume>.<Subvolume>.
3 The ‘$’ and dot (.) should be followed by a character. Other numerals can be alphabets or positive integers.
4 The maximum length of this field can be 17 characters. $ can be followed by a maximum of 7 characters and
dot (.) can be followed by a maximum of 8 characters.
