2-2-1-12 Errors When Applying Patch
The Apply Patch option in the Upgrade menu of the OVNM Host Installation Client dialog box allows you to
upgrade the software with a new patch or fix.

The different error messages displayed when applying patch, their causes and the action to be taken are
described in the following table.

Possible Causes: This message box is displayed when the User Name field in the Apply Patch to Host dialog box is
left blank.
Action to be taken: Enter the user name in the User Name field in the Apply Patch to Host dialog box.

Possible Causes: This message box is displayed when the Password field in the Apply Patch to Host dialog box is
left blank or is not valid.
Action to be taken: Enter the password in the Password field in the Apply Patch to Host dialog box.
3.
Possible Causes: This message box is displayed when the Upgrade File field in the Apply Patch to Host dialog box
is left blank.
Action to be taken: Select the Upgrade File using the Browse button in the Apply Patch to Host dialog box.
