3-2-7 Errors When Generating Test Message on NonStop Server
The Test Message utility in the Host Management Client is used to check the communication between the HP
NonStop Node and the HP Operations Management Server.

The different error messages and warnings displayed when using the Test Message utility, their causes and the
action to be taken are described in the following table.

Possible Causes: Clicking on the Test Message button in the OVNM Host Management Client dialog box displays
the Login to Host dialog box. The OVNM Host Response for Generating Test Message dialog box shows the error
“Invalid username or password” when the user name or password provided in the Login to Host dialog
box is invalid.
Action to be taken: Enter the correct user name and password in the User Name and Password field respectively in
the Login to Host dialog box.
