Possible Causes: This message box is displayed when the Object File Name field available in the Object Details
section for the OSS subsystem is left blank.
Action to be taken: Specify the name and location of the OSS logfile in the Object File Name field. The Object File
Name field can accept any string of 64 characters and is case-sensitive.

Possible Causes: This message box is displayed when you enter an invalid value in the Object File Name field
available in the Object Details section for the OSS subsystem.
Action to be taken: Specify the name and location of the OSS logfile in the Object File Name field. This field can
accept any string of 64 characters and is case-sensitive. Specify the complete path for the logfile in the field. For
example: /home/tandem/admin/logfile.
In case you are specifying a file in guardian format in an expand node, use the following:
/E/<node name>/G/<volume>/<subvolume/file name

Possible Causes: This message box is displayed when the Process Name field available in the Object Details section
for the OSS subsystem is left blank. The Process Name field gets activated when the NAMED PROCESS is selected
as the Object Type.
Action to be taken: Specify the name of the OSS process in the Process Name field. This field can accept string of
64 characters but it should start with ‘/G/’ or ‘$’.

Possible Causes: This message box is displayed when you enter an invalid process name in the Process Name field
available in the Object Details section for the OSS subsystem. The Process Name field gets activated when the
