Review the status output for errors. If an error has occurred and more information is needed, refer to the NonStop
Server EMS event log for additional messages. HP OVNM EMS errors events are generated with
TANDEM.OVNM” SYSID.
If you need to restart the NonStop Server components, use the Stop Agents/Start Agent button in the OVNM Host
Management Client.
5-1-2 Verify Elink Service is Running on Management Workstation
If NonStop Nodes does not appear in Console or all NonStop Node indicators are RED then stop and restart the
Ellink Service on the Management Workstation
NOTE: It can take up to 2 minutes for communication to be established, if the Console is started before the
OVNM Agent on the Nonstop Server. If this is the case, try stopping and starting Console again.
You can stop and start the Elink Service on the Management Workstation using the Stop Agent and Start Agents
option in the Start\Programs\HP OVNM\Management Server Tools menu.
