3 Getting Started
3-1 Starting the Display Agent
OVNPM Display Agent provides you with important real-time and historical information that you need to manage
your system. It can help you spot trouble as it happens so you can take corrective action. By giving you the right
information when you need it, the software can help you detect potentially critical situations before they develop
into problems.
If a problem occurs, you have the information available to help diagnose its causes because you can see what
has occurred, not only at the moment of the problem, but also in the recent past.
To always be aware of critical activities, you can establish thresholds for key indicators and the Display Agent
will inform you when abnormal conditions occur.
The Display Agent is the 32-bits OVNPM Graphical User Interface, which runs under Windows 9x,Windows NT
(Version 3.51 or Higher), Windows 2000 and Windows XP. You open all OVNPM modules along with the
Navigator from the Display Agent.
To open the Display Agent, click on the Start\Programs\HP OVNPM\Display Agent\Display Agent option.
