This opens the OVNPM Node Selection dialog box.

You can either create a new node connection or select a node and click on the OK button.
3-2 Creating a Node
The first time you connect to a new host, you must create a node. A node is the name of a connection site.
1. Open the OVNPM Node Selection dialog box and click on the Create button. The OVNPM Create Node
dialog box is displayed.

2. Type the name of the node in the Label box. The name can contain up to 15 alphanumeric characters.
3. In the Description box, type a description for the node. This optional text can be a summary of the
configuration parameters.
4. The next step is to select the type of Host using the Host Type drop-down box. The list of hosts available for
connection depends on the selected communication protocol.
5. Select the AdapterWinSocket32 communication protocol from the Adapter Type list box and click on the OK
button. The other options available in the box are for diagnostic purpose & are not recommended.
6. The OVNPM Node Selection dialog box appears with the name of the new node. Click on the OK button to
complete the procedure.
