OVNPM 1.5.2 - Performance Agent for NonStop Navigation Guide

Working with Navigator 17
2-4 Availability
The Availability feature allows you to display the status information of devices and applications. You can monitor
the devices configured on your node as well as the processes in your applications.
Navigator displays the availability status as:
Running, denoted by the
icon,
Stopped, denoted by the
icon and
Changed Status, denoted by the
icon.
Navigator uses five flags to focus attention on the most recent changes in the entity being monitored:
1-Hour Flag: Change occurred during the last 60 minutes
12-Hour Flag: Change occurred between 60 minutes and 12 hours
24-Hour Flag: Change occurred between 12 hours and 24 hours
48-Hour Flag: Change occurred between 24 hours and 48 hours
72-Hour Flag: Change occurred between 48 hours and 72 hours
2-4-1 Application Availability
This function monitors the status of applications defined on the node. An application is a logical entity defined by
a set of processes. An application can contain up to 200 processes. The Application Availability module can
monitor up to 160 applications.
Each time a process belonging to an application changes status, such as a process stops or starts, an alert
message is sent. This function shows the status of applications defined for a selected node.
NOTE: This function cannot monitor OSIMAGE processes.
Depending on the status of the process, the following information may be available:
UpTime For an existing process, elapsed time between creation of the process and the current time
expressed in days (d) hours (h) minutes (') and seconds (''). For a process that no longer
exists, elapsed time between creation of the process and the stop time expressed in days (d)
hours (h) minutes (') and seconds ('')
TransTime Time when Navigator detected the last process status change.
Transition State change, user change or loop status.
Comment Prior state, user or loop status.
