FileAvailability The [FileAvailability] section defines the files that must be present on the system. The
files must be defined individually.
FileCount The [FileCount] section defines the file patterns with a range associated to each
pattern. During scanning, the FILESCAN process counts the number of files matching
the pattern. If the number of files is within the range, an alert is generated.

GUI GUI is user interface based on graphics (icons and pictures and menus) instead of text; uses a
mouse as well as a keyboard as an input device.
Group Domain GROUP represents the activity of processes executed from a particular
group logon.
Guardian GUARDIAN is an operating system for the HP NonStop Server.

HIC HIC stands for Host Installation Client. HIC is used to automate the procedures like installation
and modifications on the HP NonStop managed node.
HMC HMC stand for Host Management Client. HMC is used to automate the HP NonStop
host management procedures like starting and stopping OVNPM agent.
Host The HP NonStop Server is referred to as the Host.

IP IP is a form of numerical Internet address in common use, consisting of four numbers
between 0 and 255, separated by dots.

Key A key is normally an alphanumeric code used to authorize the use of particular
software.

Log A Log is a saved list of events that have occurred.
Login Enter a particular area of software using a User ID and Password.
LINE Domain LINE represents the individual communication lines that are attached to the
system.

Metrics Data counters used to store the information for the components are called Metrics. A
metric is scalar that contains a specific type of performance data.
Macro A single computer instruction that results in a series of instructions in the machine.
