3 OVNPM Server GUI-based Installation
3-1 Overview
The OVNPM Server GUI-based installation defines the OVNPM environment and adds the OVNPM server
components on NonStop host using the OVNPM Host Installation Client.
The OVNPM Host Installation Client is an interactive GUI, which is used to define, install, and manage the
OVNPM Environment on one or several NonStop nodes. This section covers the procedure to install OVNPM on
the HP NonStop Server using the OVNPM Host Installation Client. It is recommended that you fill out the
Installation Information form in Appendix A: Installation Information, before you start with the installation process.
3-2 Starting the Host Installation Client
Click on the Start\Programs\HP OVNPM\Server\Host Installation Client menu option to start the installation
process.

WARNING! For installing OVNPM Agent on the NonStop server using the Host Installation client:
• The user performing the installation must have FTP and Telnet privileges.
• There should be no firewall on the ports being used for Telnet and FTP operations.
The installation on the HP NonStop server can also be performed using the Manual Installation procedure.
