NOTE: OVNPM Server Environment is a TACL service based environment. It does not support OSS Service for
installation and management of the OVNPM Server environment, thus, the OSS radio button is disabled. The
Other field is provided in case you have a different service name for the standard TACL Logon service. The Host
Installation Client only provides support for installation using the standard TACL service. So if you enter a service,
which is not of TACL type in the other edit box, the installation will not be successful.If you select Other as the
service to logon and do not specify the service to be used in the corresponding box, it will be considered a valid
entry and a carriage return will be used for the Service name while logging to the HP NonStop host.
After specifying the above information in the Host Information area, click on the Get Host Information button to
gather information for the specified host.
Clicking on the Get Host Information button displays the OVNPM Host Response for Getting Information dialog
box with the information that the information has been successfully retrieved from the backend.

NOTE: In case you specify an incorrect IP Address for the specified NODE Name and then try to cancel the
information retrieval process, the Host installation Client will not respond for approximately 2 minutes, which is
the time-out interval...
Use the Save button to save the response in the form of a text file. To close the dialog box, click on the OK
button. The New OVNPM Configuration dialog box is displayed again with the OVNPM Configuration and
OVNPM Processes Configuration tab pages activated.
