6 Uninstalling OVNPM Server Components
6-1 Uninstalling From HP NonStop Server
Follow the steps below to delete OVNPM components from a HP NonStop Server.
1. Load the OVNPM environment with the command run visload.
2. Stop the OVNPM environment on the HP NonStop Node using the sv_stop_subsys command.
3. Take a backup of the Configuration and Data subvolumes in case you want to save the data.
4. Go in the data subvolume with command sv_data, reset security attribute of data files with the command
“fup secure * ”OOOO” and delete files with the command “purge *“.
Delete all the OVNPM related subvolumes: Installation, TACL, EXE, Log, Config, Source, Temp and Data. Uses
command sv_log, sv_exe, sv_tacl to navigate between subvolumes.
This completes the uninstallation procedure.
NOTE: Except Data files, all the OVNPM files can be recovered from deletion. Because of this, the main data
files are secure ooo-, to prevent accidental deletion.
6-2 Uninstalling From Windows Workstation
Follow the steps given below to un-install OVNPM Server Components from the workstation.
NOTE: Before beginning the un-installation, ensure that none of the OVNPM components are running
Step A: Starting Up
Click on the Start\Programs\HP OVNPM\Server\UnInstall menu option to start the un-installation process.
