9-2-3 DSN Installation Procedure
Step 1: Start the DSN installation procedure using the following command.
TACL> VOLUME <$Install>.OVPMTACL
Step 2: Run the following command to load all the OVNPM TACL macros.
TACL> RUN VISLOAD
Step 3: Run VCONF macro and select option 3 to install the DSN server and discover all the EXPAND nodes
having OVNPM installed.
$DEV OVPMTACL 18> run vconf

6 Edit list of collected metrics edit $DEV.OVPMCFG.USERMT
7 Enter list of collected units Update $DEV.OVPMCFG.USERCFG
8 Build configuration sv_build_cfg
9 Estimate database size sv_estimate_data
10 Enter accounting parameters
11 License bc program and library fup license (bc,vlib)
12 Start OVNPM subsystem sv_start_subsys
13 OVNPM status sv_status_subsys
14 Stop OVNPM sv_stop_subsys

Selecting menu option 3 displays the Ditributed Server Configuration menu.

DSN is defined using only option 3 and 4. Options 3 define the DSN environment components such as the
process names, priorities and the port used. Default values are display in the Define DSN environment menu.
These can be modified according to the requirement.
