OVNPM 1.5.2 - Performance Agent for NonStop Server Management Guide

94
CPBLT: Capabilities of the product, created when building the CFG the first time
It uses the following programs:
MEASURE: HP NonStop Utility
DCVM: DCV Manager
CFGM: CFG Manager
It produces the following programs:
MT: Collected metrics
VT: View types
SOPUP: Hardware configuration
CFG: Units and views Configuration
CPBLT: Capabilities
DSH: Dashboard
NOTE: To keep the database coherent SV_BUILD_CFG needs to know the old MT VT CFG and CPBLT files to
build newer versions of the files to use the same identification number for the same units and to allocate unused
identification numbers to new units.
CFG VT MT and CPBLT files must NEVER be deleted
SV_EDIT_DCPRM or SV_TEDIT_DCPRM
Starts the editor EDIT or TEDIT to allow modification of the configuration file DCPRM. With this command
you can modify collection parameters.
Database Commands
SV_INFO_DATA
Displays SystemInsight, SystemTrend and SystemReport data files and their sizes.
SV_REINIT_DATA [SHORT|DAY]
Deletes all SystemInsight, SystemTrend, and SystemReport data files in the system.
If SHORT option is used, only SystemInsight and SystemReport data are deleted.

Initializes the DSV environment and saves it in the file DSVENV located in the OVNPM TACL subvolume.
Scans the entire Expand network, adds the running OVNPM subsystems, in the DSV configuration file
DSVCFG located in the configuration subvolume.
If Navigator is registered, it also installs and initializes the Distributed Navigator Server and its TCP/IP
server.
SV_START_DSV (Superceeded by sv_stsrt dsv)
Starts the Distributed OVNPM server.
If Navigator is registered, it also starts the Distributed Navigator Server and its TCP/IP server.
SV_START_NS_DSV (No longer supported)
Starts the Distributed OVNPM server with fault-tolerant operation.
If Navigator is registered, it also starts the Distributed Navigator Server and its TCP/IP server with fault-
tolerant operation.
