Metric
Description
Access-Open.nb Number of opened sessions used by the processes belonging to the APPLIFILE set that
access the file.
Access-Process.nb
Number of processes belonging to the set of processes that access the file.
Allocated-Extent.nb Number of extents allocated for the file. For partitioned file, this number is returned for the
partition with the smallest Free-Extent.nb.
NOTE: This metric is not available if a remote file is defined in the applifile
Delete-Writeread.nb/s
Number of DELETE or WRITEREAD operations on the designated file made by the
processes belonging to the APPLIFILE set.
Disc-Ext-Warn.nb
Number of times that the size of the next allocated extent (primary or secondary extent) of
the file is larger than the largest extent size on the disk.
NOTE: This metric is not available if a remote file is defined in the applifile.
• For a single file
This number can be equal to 0 or 1 (0 means the file will not have a problem for the
next extent allocation, 1 means that the next extent allocation will fail)
• For a partitioned file
This number may be greater than 1 due to multiple secondary partitions
Consideration: If the file has no allocated extents, the next allocated extent is the primary
extent. If the file has at least 1 extent allocated, the next allocated extent is a secondary
extent
Disc-Read.nb/s
Number of physical disk reads performed
Eof.KBE Eof of the file expressed in KBYTES.
NOTE: This metric is not available if a remote file is defined in the applifile.
Escalation.nb/s
Number of times a lock is escalated to a file level lock
Free-Extent.nb Number of free extents for the file. For a partitioned file, this number is returned for the
partition with the smallest Free-Extent.nb

Number of time-outs or cancels made by the APPLIFILE set on the designated file
