PRIMARY Command
NAMES SESSION Display
The display for the NAMES SESSION command has this format:
PRIMARY Command
The primary command makes the backup processor the primary processor and the
primary processor the backup processor for the specified object. This is a sensitive
command.
PRIMARY LINE Command
The PRIMARY LINE command alternates the primary and backup processor for the
line.
Command Syntax
OUT file-spec
directs any SCF output generated for this command to the specified file. file-
spec must be a partially or fully qualified file name. If you do not specify this
option, the output goes to the home terminal.
CPU cpu-number
selects the new processor number.
Considerations
•
When you execute this command, the final summary state remains unchanged.
•
When you specify a processor in which the process is already running, the
command is rejected with a warning.
•
In a single command, you can specify only one of the attributes.
•
For cpu-number, use the backup processor number.
•
The PRIMARY command works even when the line state is STARTED. Issuing the
PRIMARY command when the line is in the STARTED state causes the line to
