START MSAP Command
Consideration
There are no considerations for this command.
Example
This example starts the LINE named $PAM1:
->START LINE $PAM1
START MSAP Command
The START MSAP command starts an MSAP object.
Command Syntax
OUT file-spec
directs any SCF output generated for this command to the specified file.
MSAP msap-name
is the name of the MSAP. #SNATR is the only valid MSAP name.
Considerations
•
The START MSAP #SNATR command starts the SNATR interface. This command
will enable SNAX to add LLC2 ports and to operate over token ring.
•
START MSAP is valid only for PAM over token ring.
Example
This example starts the #SNATR MSAP for the PAM process named $PAM1:
->START MSAP $PAM1.#SNATR
START PORT Command
The START PORT command starts a PORT object and makes the port ready for data
transfer. Applications can access the port only if the port is started.
