LISTDEV command
LISTDEV command. A nonsensitive SCF command that displays information about the
specified devices.
LISTOBJECTS command. A nonsensitive SPI command that returns the object name and
object type of designated objects. Equivalent to the SCF NAMES command.
LISTOPENS command. A nonsensitive SCF and SPI command that displays information
about the file-system opens that apply to the specified object.
LLC1 ports. See logical link control type 1 (LLC1) ports
.
logical link control type 1 (LLC1) ports. The ports that allow access to an LLC type 1
connectionless (IEEE 802.2) level 2 interface.
management application. An application process that manages the operation of one or more
systems or subsystems.
message system access point (MSAP) object. Provides a SNATR object that defines the
MSAP that allows a SNAX/XF or SNAX/APN process to connect to a token-ring local
area network (LAN).
MINPKGLEN. Minimum packet length. The size of the smallest frame that can be sent on
the link.
MSAP object. See message system access point (MSAP) object
.
NAMES. A nonsensitive SCF command that returns a list of the object names and types
subordinate to the specified object.
nonsensitive command. A command that can be issued by any user or program allowed
access to the target subsystem. See also sensitive command
.
OBEY. A nonsensitive SCF command that causes commands to be read from a specified
file—a command (OBEY) file.
object. One or more of the devices, lines, processes, and files in a Tandem subsystem; any
entity subject to independent reference or control by one or more subsystems. In the
Subsystem Control Facility (SCF), an object is a resource controlled by a subsystem.
Objects include processes, disk files, data communications lines, display devices, and
groups of devices or communications lines. Each object has an object type and an
object name. The object type describes the type of the object, such as LINE, SU
(subdevice), PROCESS, and so on. The object name uniquely identifies an object
within the system.
PAM Manager (PAMMAN) process. A process pair that provides the interface between the
PAM subsystem and the Subsystem Control Point (SCP) process.
PAM process. A generic process that provides the interface to the ServerNet LAN systems
access (SLSA) subsystem for Ethernet, LLC1 applications, SNAX/XF and SNAX/APN,
and the Event Management Service (EMS).
