Simple Tokens
Simple Tokens
The following data communications standard definitions for simple tokens are used by
the PAM subsystem:
ZCOM-TKN-OBJNAME
ZCOM-TKN-OBJTYPE
ZCOM-TKN-SUB
ZCOM-TKN-SEL-SUMSTATE
ZCOM-TKN-TRACE-OPT
The following information about these definitions is specific to the PAM subsystem:
ZCOM-TKN-OBJNAME
contains the name of a PAM object. The object name in the command indicates the
specific object on which the command is to operate. In addition, in some
commands, the requester can specify object-name templates. Using an object-name
template allows a single command to affect multiple objects. Most commands
accept up to 30 specific object names. Object names must follow the naming
conventions described in SPI Programming Considerations for the PAM Subsystem
on page 3-1.
The object-name token(s) in the response indicate the specific object(s) on which the
command has been performed. At least one object-name token is always present in
the response, unless an error prevented the command from being attempted at all.
Object-name tokens can also be present in data lists and error lists.
If an object-name template has been specified, a separate object name token is
returned for each object that meets the template requirements.
ZCOM-TKN-OBJTYPE
contains the object type of a PAM object. This token is present in every response.
This token is the same as the object type specified in the command header token
ZSPI-TKN-OBJECT-TYPE. The value within a command can be any one of the
object types listed in Object Types
 on page 4-9
This token can also be present in data lists and error lists. It indicates the object type
for which information is being returned or the object type experiencing the error.
ZCOM-TKN-TRACE-OPT
indicates what items are to be traced by the TRACE command. For information on
the possible values of this token in the PAM subsystem, refer to the TRACE
command in Section 5, Commands and Responses. SCP creates a bit mask from the
trace options specified and sends it to the PAM subsystem in the ZCOM-MAP-
TRACE-WORK token as described below.
Extensible Structured Tokens
The following data communications standard definitions for extensible structured tokens
are used by the PAM subsystem:
