GETVERSION Command
Tokens in Response Buffer
In addition to the tokens described in Section 4, Common Definitions, the following
tokens are also present in the response returned for the GETVERSION command:
ZSPI-TKN-SERVER-BANNER
contains the version information for the software and/or firmware that is running in
the specified object. The requested version information is returned in character
strings that include the object name as well as the name, product number, release
number, and release date of the software module.
ZCOM-TKN-PKG-BANNER
is described in the SPI Common Extensions Manual with the other ZCMK tokens.
Operational Notes
There is no summary state transition associated with the GETVERSION command.
•
You can use the ZCOM-TKN-SUB token to obtain version information for the
specified object and/or subordinate objects. The acceptable values for this token are
as follows:
ZCOM-VAL-SUB-ALL
returns version information for the specified object and its subordinate objects,
if any.
ZCOM-VAL-SUB-NONE
returns version information for only the specified object and not for any
subordinate objects. This has the same effect as not having the ZCOM-TKN-
SUB token present.
ZCOM-VAL-SUB-ONLY
returns version information only for subordinate objects, not for the specified
object itself.
•
You can use the ZCOM-TKN-SEL-SUMSTATE token to return version information
only for those objects currently in a specified summary state.
•
You can use the ZCOM-TKN-SUB and the ZCOM-TKN-SEL-SUMSTATE tokens,
in combination, to return version information for only those objects and/or
subordinate objects in (or not in) a specified summary state.
