Invalid INSPECT terminal name — please reenter
Cause. You entered an invalid value into the Inspect terminal name field of the
Application Installation screen.
Issued by the Pathmaker product and by PMADL.
Effect. Update fails.
Recovery. Enter a valid Inspect terminal name.
Inspect terminal names can be a maximum of eight characters. Inspect terminal names
begin with a dollar sign ($), followed by one to seven alphanumeric characters,
excluding all other special characters such as pound sign (#) and dollar sign ($). The
first alphanumeric character in the name must be a letter.
If the Inspect terminal is to be used across a network, the qualified name can be a
maximum of seven characters: the dollar sign ($) followed by one to six alphanumeric
characters. For example, a valid Inspect terminal name that can be used across a
network is:
\SOFT.$JANET
The Inspect terminal name can be a subdevice name such as:
$um32.#term1
Invalid KEY SPECIFIER.
Cause. An invalid key ID was entered. The key was not one of the known keys.
Issued by the generated application.
Effect. Read operation fails.
Recovery. Make sure the DDL accurately describes the file, then regenerate the
requester. If you have edited the generated source code file or changed the requester
skeleton, make sure that you have not provided an invalid value for the key specifier.
Invalid Key: Duplicate
Cause. You attempted to write or rewrite a record that would create a duplicate
relative key, a duplicate prime record key, or a duplicate alternate record key for
which uniqueness is required.
Server error issued by the generated application.
Effect. Write/rewrite fails.
Recovery. Use a different key and retry the operation.
