Invalid PATHMON process name — please reenter
Cause. You specified an invalid PATHMON process name on the Application
Installation screen.
Issued by the Pathmaker product and by PMADL.
Effect. Update fails.
Recovery. Correct the PATHMON name.
PATHMON names can be a maximum of six characters. PATHMON names begin
with a dollar sign ($), followed by one to five alphanumeric characters, excluding all
other special characters such as pound sign (#) and dollar sign ($). The first
alphanumeric character must be a letter.
If the PATHMON name is to be used across a network, the PATHMON name can be a
maximum of five characters: the dollar sign ($) followed by one to four alphanumeric
characters. For example, $ABC2 is a valid PATHMON name that can be used over a
network.
Invalid printer name — please reenter
Cause. You entered an invalid disk file name, printer name, or spooler location into the
Printer Name field of the Application Installation screen.
Issued by the Pathmaker product and by PMADL.
Effect. Update fails.
Recovery. Correct the printer name. The following examples are valid printer names:
$LP
\SOFT.$LP3
$S.#PRINTER
\SOFT.$S.#LAND.SUB
Invalid printer specification; In called-program
Cause. You attempted a print operation but the configuration for the terminal to
printer is incorrect.
CALL error issued by the generated application.
Effect. The called program aborts and control returns to the caller.
Recovery. Check the Pathway configuration for the correct terminal to printer
configuration.
