Actions for PA1 and PA2 can only be RETN, RCVR, and DFLT
Cause. You specified an invalid action for function key PA1 or for function key PA2 on
a 3270 terminal. Legal actions for these two function keys are ones that do not require
data to be accepted from the screen: RETN, RCVR, and DFLT.
Issued by the Pathmaker product and by PMADL.
Effect. Requester generation fails.
Recovery. Change the action to RETN, RCVR, or DFLT and regenerate.
Active-Term file not on release subvolume
Cause. The Pathmaker program could not find the Active Terminal file, ACTIVE.
ACTIVE contains information about active terminals and must be present for a
Pathmaker session to start.
Issued by the Pathmaker product and by PMADL.
Effect. Pathmaker startup fails.
Recovery. Ask your system manager to copy an empty version of ACTIVE from the
Pathmaker release subvolume — the subvolume on which the Pathmaker object code
files are installed.
All key fields have been excluded from instance: record-
instance-name
Cause. You attempted to generate a DB requester that has no key fields displayed on
the screen. If record-instance-name is a NonStop SQL table, this also indicates
that Nonindex reads have been disallowed.
Issued by the Pathmaker product and by PMADL.
Effect. Requester generation fails.
Recovery. At least one key field must be present on the screen. Add a key field to the
Display Field List or to the screen by using the Screen Painter. Alternatively, if
record-instance-name corresponds to a NonStop SQL table, set Nonindex Reads
to Y.
