Effect. The read did not occur.
Recovery. Consult the Guardian Procedure Error and Messages Manual for interpretation
of the error code.
Read fails. Record is locked
Cause. The specified record is locked by another application.
Issued by the generated application.
Effect. The read did not occur.
Recovery. Retry the operation.
Read must be enabled for a delete or update
Cause. You entered a Y for deleting or for updating records, but entered an N for
reading records for this DB requester.
Issued by the Pathmaker product and by PMADL.
Effect. Add or update fails.
Recovery. Change the Read value to Y , or change the Delete value and the Update
value to N .
Read service enabled but no read action defined
Cause. You attempted to enable the database service, READ, for a DB requester but do
not have a function key specified to invoke the service.
Issued by the Pathmaker product and by PMADL.
Effect. Update fails.
Recovery. Go to the Function Key Assignments screen and add a SEND to at least one
of the following standard READ services: T9154-READ-FIRST, T9154-READ-
APPROXIMATE, T9154-READ-EXACT, T9154-READ-GENERIC. (You should not
specify T9154-READ-NEXT without also specifying one of the other four services.)
Return to the Record Instance Detail screen to enable the READ service.
