Reference field name is ambiguous in the reference object —
field-name
Cause. A qualified field name, indicated by field-name , designates more than one
field in the reference object which qualifies it.
Issued by the Pathmaker product and by PMADL.
Effect. The requester description is not stored in the catalog.
Recovery. Provide additional qualification for the field name.
Reference field redefines another field
Cause. You attempted to define a data field using a DDL reference field that redefines
another component of the reference object.
Issued by the Pathmaker product and by PMADL.
Effect. Operation canceled.
Recovery. Choose a reference field that is not subject to a REDEFINES or RENAMES
clause, or change the DDL description of the reference field to eliminate the
REDEFINES or RENAMES clause.
Reference field redefines another field — field deleted
Cause. You changed the DDL description used by a data field so that the field
redefines another component of the reference object.
Issued by the Pathmaker product.
Effect. The Screen Painter deleted the data field from the screen.
Recovery. Exit the Screen Painter and correct the field's DDL description, excluding use
of the REDEFINES clause and the RENAMES clause.
