Screen picture conflicts with the reference field — field
deleted
Cause. You changed the DDL description used by a data field so that the data field is
no longer compatible with the reference field.
Issued by the Pathmaker product and by PMADL.
Effect. The Screen Painter deleted the data field from the screen.
Recovery. If you want the data field to appear in the screen, exit the Screen Painter and
correct the DDL description of the reference field. If you want to eliminate or redefine
the data field, proceed to edit the screen.
Screen picture is too long for the data field — field deleted
Cause. You changed the DDL description used by a data field so that the data field no
longer fits in the space available to it on the screen.
Issued by the Pathmaker product.
Effect. The Screen Painter deleted the data field from the screen.
Recovery. If you want the data field to appear in the screen, exit the Screen Painter and
correct the DDL description of the reference field. If you want to eliminate or redefine
the data field, proceed to edit the screen.
Screen picture too long; maximum acceptable length is: length
Cause. You entered the screen picture clause in the Display Detail screen which is
longer than the maximum acceptable length.
Issued by the Pathmaker product.
Effect. Update fails.
Recovery. Shorten the screen picture length and retry the update operation.
Screen Picture wrong for: field
Cause. The Screen Picture with Display Detail for the given field does not match the
DDL picture for the data element.
Issued by the Pathmaker product and by PMADL.
Effect. Generation or default screen generation fails.
Recovery. Repair Screen Picture on Display Detail screen.
