update the Record Instance Detail screen, the Requester Definition screen, or the
Function Key Assignments screen.
Issued by the Pathmaker product and by PMADL.

Recovery. Note this error message and contact your Tandem representative.
DB Requester top line conflict:
conflicting-item
Cause. You specified a use of the top line (the title line) of a DB application screen that
conflicts with the normal use of the area. DB requesters normally use the top line of
the application screen to prompt the user for additional information or for
confirmation. For example, READ GENERIC prompts you for the length of the partial
value the application is to use for the read.
Do not:
Begin the paging area in the top line
Use the top line for the advisory line
Allow a field to wrap from the top line to the second line
Issued by the Pathmaker product and by PMADL.
Effect. Requester generation fails.
Recovery. Remove the conflicting item from the top line of the screen and regenerate.
DDL DEF cannot be used as a parent ref obj:
reference-object-
name
Cause. You attempted to link a parent reference object which is a DDL DEF to a child
reference object field on the Record Instance Detail screen.
Issued by the Pathmaker product and by PMADL.
Effect. Add or update fails.
Recovery. Correct the parent reference object name. Only DDL or STON can be used
as parent reference object. Parent reference object must exist in the requester's context.
Press F9 to display the Reference Object Value List screen if you need to check the
reference object name.
