File operation error number (explanation ) — file name
Cause. PMPROJECT, PMINSTAL, PMADL, or the screen painter encountered an
operating system error during I/O. The type of operation that caused the error, the
error number, and the name of the file on which the error occurred, are given in the
message. A short description of the error is also provided for some errors.
Issued by the Pathmaker product, PMPROJECT, PMINSTAL, or PMADL.
Effect. The program terminated.
Recovery. Correct the condition that caused the error. For further information on the
specific file error you encountered, refer to the Guardian Procedure Errors and Messages
Manual.
Rerun the program. If the error persists, contact your Tandem representative.
File error in resolving qualified name — contact support
Cause. You attempted to list or update a screen that displays a qualified field name.
The Pathmaker program cannot unambiguously resolve that field name. This is an
internal error.
Issued by the Pathmaker product and by PMADL.
Effect. List or update fails.
Recovery. Contact your Tandem representative.
File error error-num on catalog for table SQL-table-name
Cause. The SQL catalog for this table could not be accessed. See the file system error
for the cause.
Issued by the generated application.
Effect. Operation fails.
Recovery. Recovery depends on error-num . Refer to the Guardian Procedure Errors
and Messages Manual for more information about this error, or enter the following
command at the TACL prompt:
23> ERROR error-number
Correct the file system error and try the operation again.
