Insert function not allowed — default screen creation has been
disabled
Cause. You attempted to insert a line in the Display Field List. You cannot modify the
Display Field List because the Create Default screen field on the Requester Definition
screen is set to N .
Issued by the Pathmaker product.
Effect. Update fails.
Recovery. Add the field directly to the screen by using the Screen Painter F4 function
(Data Field partial screen). The field must be part of the requester context before you
can add it to the screen.
You can add reference objects to the requester context even if default screen creation is
disabled.
Insert line will erase last entry — try update
Cause. You attempted to insert another line on the Display Field List; the current
entries have not been entered into the project catalog.
Issued by the Pathmaker product.
Effect. Insert action fails.
Recovery. Update the Display Field List by pressing F2 before inserting a new line.
Insert not allowed on a view with syskey: view-name
Cause. An insert operation was attempted on a view that includes a syskey and is
based on a key sequenced or entry sequenced file.
Issued by the Pathmaker product.
Effect. Server or service generation fails.
Recovery. Either do not perform the insert or remove the syskey from the view.
