The Pathmaker product declares a pseudofield in the Working-Storage Section of the
generated requester if you use the pseudofield in the requester. Pseudofields that can
be displayed on the application screen are added to the application screen from within
the Screen Painter. Pseudofields that cannot be displayed on the application screen are
added to the SEND Parameter Definition screen.
The current value of a displayed pseudofield appears when the application screen is
displayed. You cannot enter data into any of the pseudofields.
Defining a Pseudofield
When you press shifted F4 to define the position of a pseudofield, the Screen Painter
marks the cursor position as the left end of the field to be defined.
The Screen Painter shows a partial screen with video attribute fields that describe the
pseudofield. Complete these fields as needed and press F4 again to complete the
definition, or press F16 to cancel the definition.
You must include the at sign (@) when you enter the pseudofield name.
You can assign any combination of video attributes to a pseudofield if the terminal has
physical support for such attributes. Valid responses in the video attributes fields are
Y
and
N
.
Modifying a Pseudofield
To modify a pseudofield, place the cursor in the pseudofield and press shifted F4. The
Screen Painter shows the Pseudofield partial screen.
Use the partial screen to change any of the video attributes and press F4 to make the
change, or press F16 to terminate the operation.
