If your Pathmaker project contains:
Only DB requesters, you need only to specify information on the Pathmaker
Application Installation screen prior to running PMPROJECT INSTALL to install
the application. You do not need to use the Server Class Assignment screen or
Server Class Mapping screen or to generate a mapping requester.
If your Pathmaker project contains any custom or registered services and servers,
you must specify some additional information about the servers and server classes
in addition to specifying information on the Pathmaker Application Installation
screen prior to running PMPROJECT INSTALL to install the application.
How services, servers, and server classes should be set up is really an application
design issue that should be decided and documented as part of the application
design process. (For a discussion of this process, see Section 2.)
To specify information for application installation for a project containing any
custom or registered services and servers, you must:
Specify information on the Server Class Assignment screen
Specify information on the Server Class Mapping screen
Generate a service-to-serverclass Mapping requester
Specify information on the Pathmaker Application Installation screen
Before any of these screens can be used, the following activities must have been
completed for this custom application:
All services created
All servers created and compiled
