Place the help database for the master project on the central subvolume for the
application. Place the help databases for the subsidiary projects on unique
subvolumes on the production system. The help database files are:
HELPREQ
HELPPOS
HELPTXT
HELPALT0
Use FUP ALTER to alter the file labels of the help database files so that they indicate
the new location of the alternate key file.
For example, assume you are moving files for the three projects shown in Figure 7-3,
Project A (the master project) and Projects B and C (subsidiary projects), to the
production system.
The Pathmaker object files are on $SYSTEM.PMKR. The location of the object files and
help database for Project A is $DEV.PROJA. The location of the object files and help
database for Project B is $DEV.PROJB. The location of the object files and help
database for Project C is $DEV.PROJC.
The central subvolume for the application on the production system is $DATA.SALES.
The new location for the help database for Project B is $DATA.HELPB. The new
location for the help database for Project C is $DATA.HELPC. The application has
several custom Enscribe servers; for example ASRVOBJ1 and BSRVOBJ1. The
application uses an Enscribe database requester and an SQL database requester. To
copy all of the necessary files to the production system and to alter the file labels of the
alternate key files for the help databases, you can create an EDIT file that looks like
this:
