6. Define ENTER-PARTS requester.
a. Enter basic requester information.
Press the clear key to clear any previously entered information. Press shifted
F15 to show the default values for the Requester Definition screen. Enter the
requester name (ENTER-PARTS) and the title (P A R T S I N F O R M A T I O
N).
Change Requester Type to DB. Change Initial Values and Check Data to Y .
Enter PART-REC in the Single Reference Object field. Press F1 to add the
requester. Press F8 to reach the Requester Description screen.
b. Write the requester help text.
Enter text and press F2. Press F16 to return to the Requester Definition screen.
Press F12 from the Requester Definition screen to reach the Function Key
Assignments screen.
c. View function key assignments.
The function key assignments that you see on this screen are the default
function key assignments for DB requesters.
d. Specify function key prompts to be displayed on the screen.
Position the cursor on SEND T9154-READ-FIRST and press F11 to reach the
Display Text screen.
Change Displayed to Y and press F2 to update the screen. Press F5 to list the
next function key.
The next set of steps requires you to list the Display Text screen repeatedly
using the F5 function key to specify which function key prompts you want
displayed on the application screen. The information that you should enter is
summarized here.
e. Change Displayed to Y , then press F2 to update the Display Text screen for
each of the following function keys:
F5 Read Next
F6 Read Approximate
F7 Read Exact
F8 Read Generic
F10 Insert
F12 Delete
F14 Update
F16 Return
SF13 Undo
First Page, Last Page, Box Insert, Box Delete, and Box Update are omitted
because these functions are not relevant for this requester.
