11. Define SQL-ENTER-PARTS requester.
a. Enter the basic requester information.
Press the clear key to clear any previously entered information. Press shifted
F15 to show the default values for the Requester Definition screen. Enter the
requester name (SQL-ENTER-PARTS ) and the title (P A R T S I N F O R M A
T I O N). Change Requester Type to DB. Change Initial Values and Check
Data to
Y
. Enter PARTS into the Single Reference Object field. Press F1 to
add the requester. Press F8 to reach the Requester Description screen.
b. Write the requester help text.
Enter appropriate text ( for example, “This screen allows you to enter parts
information into the PARTS table.”). Press F2. Press F16 to return to the
Requester Definition screen.
c. Specify the function key prompts to be displayed on the default screen.
From the Requester Definition screen, press F12 to reach the Function Key
Assignments screen. Position the cursor on T9154-READ-FIRST on the
Function Key Assignments screen and press F11 to navigate to the Display
Text screen.
Change Displayed to
Y
and press F2 to update the screen. Press F5 to list the
next function key.
The next set of steps requires you to list the Display Text screen repeatedly by
pressing F5 to specify which function key prompts you want displayed on the
application screen. The information that you should enter on those screens is
summarized here.
d. Change Displayed to
Y
, then press F2 to update the Display Text screen for
each of the following function keys:

F6 Read Approximate
F7 Read Exact
F8 Read Generic
F10 Insert
F12 Delete
F14 Update
F15 Insert Defaults

SF15 Recover Screen
SF16 Return to Main Menu
First Page, Last Page, Box Insert, Box Delete, and Box Update are omitted
because these functions are not relevant for this requester.
