Specialized Function Keys. Every screen in the Pathmaker full screen interface has
specialized function keys. Some of these function keys allow navigation to related
Pathmaker screens; others perform specific actions, such as initiating the compilation
of source code.
Certain Pathmaker screens can be reached from several other, different, Pathmaker
screens. A specialized function key that allows navigation to this type of Pathmaker
screen is always the same, regardless of the Pathmaker screen from which the
navigation is initiated.
Using the Main Menu
The Pathmaker Main Menu is the gateway to many Pathmaker application
development tasks. The Main Menu appears on a terminal screen after the following
command is entered:
2> Pathmaker
project-name
Figure 3-4 illustrates the Main Menu for a Pathmaker project.

Work Subvolume. One of the fields on the Pathmaker Main Menu is the work
subvolume field. When the Main Menu is initially displayed, the value in this field is
the same as the current subvolume. The work subvolume is used to qualify any
unqualified file names that are created during a Pathmaker session, such as TEDIT (or
EDIT) files containing custom service code.
