Server Class
Assignment Screen
Use the Server Class Assignment screen to enter one or more Pathway server classes
for each server in your application.
A server class is a group of one or more processes that are copies of the same server
program. Pathway can dynamically create and delete copies of a server in a server
class in response to the transaction processing demand on the system.
When you finish using the Server Class Assignment screen, use the Server Class
Mapping screen to assign the active server class for each service.

Displaying the Screen You reach the Server Class Assignment screen by pressing F1 from the Application
Configuration screen.
Before using the Server Class Assignment screen, define at least one server on the
Server Definition screen.
Field Descriptions The following paragraphs describe the fields on the Server Class Assignment screen.
Server Name
Enter the name of the server whose server classes you want to assign.
