Server Definition
Screen
The Server Definition screen is a two-page screen. Page one allows you to define all
the attributes for a given server. Page two displays the date and time when the
Pathmaker product last generated or attempted to generate this server.

Use page 1 of the Server Definition screen to define, copy, and generate a server
application module that receives processing requests from a requester.
A server manages your database by invoking services to add, change, manipulate, or
delete data. After you define and generate servers on the Server Definition screen, you
package services into the server using the Service Assignment screen.
Defining and generating a server involves these tasks:
Name and describe the server.
Assign file names to the source and object code files and the compiler listing.
Specify which services are to be included on the Service Assignment screen.
List any desired compiler directives, such as INSPECT and SYMBOLS.
Generate and compile the server.
