Service Definition
Screen
The Service Definition screen consists of two pages. Page one displays attributes for a
custom service. Page two shows attributes and status fields that are valid only for
services coded in C.

Use page 1 of the Service Definition screen to create or copy a custom service to access
multiple files and perform data manipulations, editing, and calculations.
Using this screen and its detail screens you can:
Name and describe a custom service.
Name the Custom Source File.
Define Interprocess Communication (IPC) messages for a custom service.
For ENSCRIBE files, relate DDL record names to COBOL or C logical file names.
For NonStop SQL tables, relate NonStop SQL table object names to host variable
names.
View the definitions for standard (STD) services that the Pathmaker product
provides for simple file accessing for use with database (DB) requesters. You
cannot add or modify standard services.
