Pathmaker Screens

Field Descriptions The following paragraphs describe the fields on the Access Path Value List screen.
Table Name
Displays the name of the current SQL table. You cannot enter data into this field.
Access Path Name
Displays the first access path name on this list.
If the field where the cursor was positioned before you navigated to this screen
contained an access path name, this field displays that access path name.
To change the starting point of the list, enter any name, the leading characters of a
name, or a blank and press F4.
Path Name
Displays the access paths for the specified table, beginning with the path name
displayed in the Access Path Name field. You cannot enter data into this column.
To change the starting point of the current list, move the cursor to an access path in
this column and press F1.
To select a path name for updating or deleting, move the cursor to an access path in
this column and press F10. The Pathmaker product returns you to the previous screen
and displays information about the access path you selected.
Uniq
Displays the unique attribute values as Y for yes or N for no. The unique attribute is
determined by the Pathmaker product and indicates whether the associated access
path is considered unique. You cannot enter data into this field.
Eff
Displays the efficient attribute values as Y for yes or N for no. An access path is
considered efficient when a NonStop SQL index exists which contains the same
columns in the same order as the access path. The efficient attribute is determined by
the Pathmaker product. You cannot enter data into this field.
Description
Displays the optional descriptions of the access paths. You cannot enter data into this
column.
