Columns
Enter the number of columns to be contained in the data field. The default value for
this field depends on the display format you select on the Requester Definition screen,
or on the Record Instance detail screen for DB requesters.
For the example used earlier, OCCURS-DEF.FIELD-NAME, the data item displayed in
compressed (COM) format would look like this:
FIELD-NAME _____ _____ _____ _____
If you change the value of Columns to 2, OCCURS-DEF.FIELD-NAME would look like
this:
FIELD-NAME _____ _____
_____ _____
Row Offset
Enter the number of blank lines to separate each row of data fields. If you want the
data field rows to be single-spaced, the row offset is 1.
To continue the earlier example, suppose you decide to change the row offset to 2.
OCCURS-DEF.FIELD-NAME now looks like this:
FIELD-NAME _____ _____
_____ _____
Column Separation
Enter the number of spaces to go between each column of data fields.
Suppose that you now decide to change the column separation for OCCURS-
DEF.FIELD-NAME to 3. The result looks like this:

F3-Help
Displays online help for the screen value list requester. You can modify the help using
the HELPUTIL utility program.
F4-Enter
Enters information about the data field you defined or modified into the Pathmaker
project catalog and returns to the Screen Painter.
