target-subvol
is either of the following:
system.volume.subvolume
specifies the system and volume and subvolume name where you want
the Pathmaker product to reside. The system must already be defined to
the operating system.
volume.subvolume
specifies the volume and subvolume name where you want the Pathmaker
product to reside. If you use the
volume.subvolume
option for
target-subvol
, PMINSTAL uses your current system.
CLEANUP
Purges the Pathmaker subvolume from which PMINSTAL distributes the
Pathmaker software (that is, the ISV containing the version of PMINSTAL you
are running) when the installation is completed. An exception is if the ISV
subvolume is a Pathmaker installation, for example, the installation created by
the current execution of PMINSTAL. If PMINSTAL determines that the ISV
subvolume is an installation, it issues a warning message and does not purge
the software distribution subvolume.
Before using REDEFINE, use the following command to ensure that there are no
Pathmaker projects currently running in this installation:
PMPROJECT STATUS *
If Pathmaker projects are open, shut down the Pathmaker projects using the
following command:
PMPROJECT SHUTDOWN *
Then use this command on the subvolume where the Pathmaker installation being
redefined currently resides, to ensure that there are no open files in the
subvolume:
FUP LISTOPENS *
Close any open files and then use REDEFINE to update the project, for example:
$system.zpathmkr.PMINSTAL /OUT $s.#instal/
$vol.save.pmconfig REDEFINE $vol.pmkrnew
In the above example, REDEFINE updates the Pathmaker project and moves it to
another installation subvolume, $VOL.PMKRNEW.
