When PMINSTAL has redefined the Pathmaker software, use the PMPROJECT
utility to regenerate the Pathway configuration files and to restart the projects that
use this version of the Pathmaker product. The PMPROJECT commands to use
are:
PMPROJECT RECONFIGURE *
PMPROJECT START * COLD
If the Pathmaker installation being redefined was on a volume and subvolume
other than the target installation volume and subvolume, reconfigure the
following processes for every project that uses this Pathmaker installation. (Use
the Process Configuration screen.)
DDL
REQUESTER-GENERATION
SERVER-GENERATION
Change the program file volume and subvolume names to the new volume and
subvolume for the Pathmaker target installation.
Note Except for SUPER.SUPER, only the person who owns a project can reconfigure or cold start it. Each
project owner must execute the PMPROJECT, RECONFIGURE, and START commands.
MOVE
target-subvol
Moves an existing version of the Pathmaker product to the specified volume and
subvolume, purging the original Pathmaker files. PMINSTAL reports an error if
the version to be moved does not exist on the specified system.
target-subvol
is either of the following:
system.volume.subvolume
specifies the system and volume and subvolume name where you want
the Pathmaker product to reside. The system must already be defined to
the operating system. The
system.volume.subvolume
must not be the
system, volume, and subvolume on which the existing version of the
Pathmaker product resides.
volume.subvolume
specifies the
volume and subvolume name where you want the Pathmaker product to
reside. If you use the
volume.subvolume
option for
target-subvol
,
PMINSTAL uses your current system. The
volume.subvolume
must
not be the subvolume on which the existing version of the Pathmaker
product resides.
