Before using MOVE, use this command to ensure that no Pathmaker projects are
running in this installation:
PMPROJECT STATUS *
If Pathmaker projects are open, shut down the Pathmaker projects using the
following command:
PMPROJECT SHUTDOWN *
Then use this command on the subvolume where the Pathmaker installation being
redefined currently resides, to ensure that there are no open files in the
subvolume:
FUP LISTOPENS *
Close any open files and then use MOVE to move the project, for example:
$system.zpathmkr.PMINSTAL /OUT $vol.#s/
$vol.subvol.pmconfig MOVE $vol.pmkrd20
In the above example, MOVE moves the Pathmaker project to another installation
subvolume, $VOL.PMKRNEW.
After you have moved the Pathmaker software, use the PMPROJECT utility to
regenerate the Pathway configuration files and to restart the projects that use this
version of the Pathmaker product. The PMPROJECT commands to use are:
PMPROJECT RECONFIGURE *
PMPROJECT START * COLD
You must also use the Process Configuration screen of every project that uses this
version of the Pathmaker product to reconfigure these processes:
DDL
REQUESTER-GENERATION
SERVER-GENERATION
Change the program file volume and subvolume names to the new installation
volume and subvolume.
PURGE
Purges the version of the Pathmaker product that matches this version of
PMINSTAL on the current system. If this is the C20 version of PMINSTAL, you
purge the C20 version of the Pathmaker product. All projects in the version must
be deleted before the purge can take effect.
Caution The PURGE command totally eliminates the specified version of the Pathmaker product from your
system.
