IMPORT
Creates a new project location and initializes its project catalog files from files
exported from another project. You can also use IMPORT with the EXPORT
command to move a project from one Pathmaker installation to another.
In the IMPORT command, specify the volume and subvolume containing the
project catalog files to import to this Pathmaker installation . This volume and
subvolume becomes the project subvolume for the imported project. If you omit
the volume name, IMPORT uses your default volume.
To create the moved project in a new installation , run PMPROJECT IMPORT from
the system where you moved the files. The imported project name must not exist.
Use this command sequence:
PMPROJECT DOWN
project-name
PMPROJECT EXPORT
project-name
TO
new-location
PMPROJECT IMPORT
project-name
FROM
catalog-location
IMPORT uses the same sequence of prompts as the ADD command to collect
information for creating the project.
The Transaction Monitoring Facility (TMF) product audits the new project catalog
files. The volume on which they are created must be audited, and the TMF
product must be configured for that system.
IMPORT prompts for the locations of source and object files, local process names,
and local SQL catalog locations. If you did not move the files after exporting
them, you can use the default value for the location, because the EXPORT operation
updated the volume names in the catalog to reflect the new file locations.
The only Pathmaker catalog file not initialized from the imported project’s original
file is DICTNPC. IMPORT initializes the DICTNPC file from the current
installation's default DICTNPC file.
IMPORT automatically cold starts the new project as a final step.
INFO
Gives information about a Pathmaker project. You can get information about any
project in an installation, without being the owner or using the SUPER.SUPER
user ID, as long as you have file system read authority for the project catalog.
INFO displays these project attributes:
Project name
Catalog subvolume
PATHMON process name
PATHMON CPUs
TCP and server CPUs
TCP and server swap volume
Number of TCPs
