Field Descriptions The following paragraphs describe the fields on the Display detail screen.
Requester Name
Displays the name of the requester whose data fields you are defining. You cannot
change the value of this field.
Reference Object
Displays the name of the reference object associated with this data field. You cannot
change the value of this field.
Field
Displays the name of the data field you are viewing. You cannot change the value of
this field.
The maximum length of the field is 61 characters. Qualified field names that are
longer than 61 characters will have a truncation character (*) displayed next to them.
Video Attributes
Enter Y or N to select the video attributes for the data field.
Changes you make to a field’s video attributes on the Display detail screen will be
visible the next time you view the application screen in the Screen Painter or during
simulation. Conversely, changes you make to a field’s video attributes in the Screen
Painter will be reflected on the Display detail screen.
Bright Enter Y if you want the intensity of the display bright. Enter N if you
want the intensity dim. Y is the default value.
Reversed Enter Y if you want the data field to be displayed in reverse video (dark
letters on a light background). Enter N if you want the data field to be
displayed normally (light letters on a dark background). N is the default
value.
Underlined Enter Y if you want the data field to be underlined. Enter N if you do not
want the data field to be underlined. Y is the default value.
Blinking Enter Y if you want the data in the field to blink. Enter N if you do not
want the data in the field to blink. N is the default value.
Hidden Enter Y if you want the data field to be hidden. A hidden data field is
not displayed on the application screen. Enter N if you want the data
field to be displayed. N is the default value.
Protected Enter Y if you want this field to be protected. The end user cannot enter
data into a protected field. Enter N if you want the data field to accept a
value from the end user. N is the default value.
Tab If Full Enter Y if you want the cursor to automatically advance to the next field
when the end user completes data entry in the current field. Enter N to
