Screen
Use the Display Field List screen to list the fields or columns associated with one
reference object from the requester’s context. The fields or columns listed on this
screen will be displayed on the default application screen that the Pathmaker product
generates.
The Display Field List screen allows you to delete or change the sequence of the fields
displayed on the default application screen. Although the fields that you delete from
this screen are not shown on the application screen, they are still available for use in
interprocess communication (IPC) messages and in the requester copy library. If you
enter a group item on this screen, that group item is expanded to its elementary
members. If you change anything on this screen, be sure to use F2 to update the screen
before exiting.
Note If the Create Default Screen field on the Requester Definition screen is set to N, you cannot add a new
Display Field List entry. If you add a new entry to the Requester Context screen, the Display Field list for
the new context item will not be created.
If you enter N in the Create Default Screen field when you first add a requester, the Pathmaker product
will not create a Display Field list for any of this requester’s context items. When you invoke the Screen
Painter, the application screen displayed does not contain any data fields.
