IPC Definition Screen Use the IPC (Interprocess Communication) Definition screen to define the reference

objects in a service’s request IPC message and in a service’s reply IPC message. If you

enter information on this screen, be sure to use F2 to update the screen before exiting.

Displaying the Screen You reach the IPC Definition screen by pressing F6 from the Service Definition screen.

Before using the IPC Definition screen, define the service on the Service Definition

screen and, if you are using NonStop SQL, enter table registration information on the

SQL Table Registration screen.

Field Descriptions The following paragraphs describe the fields on the IPC Definition screen.

Service Name

Displays the name of the service from the Service Definition screen. You cannot enter

data into this field.

Description

Shows the first 40 characters of the service description from the Service Definition

screen. You cannot enter data into this field.
